GROWING IN FAITH
Part
of the job of the local church is to help you grow in your faith. As we
grow, God enables us to help others grow as well. With our lives getting
more and more busy, it is often difficult to give the priority of
discipleship the place it needs. At EBC, we have tried to provide a
pathway to help you grow. It is our prayer that God will use this
pathway to help you focus on the priority of discipleship - following
Jesus.
THE PATHWAY
STEP ONE: Discover
During our weekend
worship services we invite people to experience God.
Through engaging worship, and a relevant biblical message we hope
people will deepen in their understanding of who Jesus is and be
introduced to a growing and intimate relationship with Him.
STEP TWO: Grow
Authentic, safe relationships are essential to mature in the faith.
Healthy relationships are not optional. Therefore we encourage people to
join small groups so they can
continue to grow
STEP
THREE: Multiply
People experience God as God works through them as they minister to
other people in practical ways. We challenge people to become actively
involved in ministry in
order to grow and help others grow.
So what are the first steps for you? Well it depends where you are in your faith journey. For example, if you are...
SEEKING:
Maybe you've never really explored what following Jesus means. Or maybe
you've had a bad experience in churches before. maybe you simply
want to learn more about God and ask questions about what it means to
have an authentic relationship with Jesus.
NEXT STEPS = Attend worship services faithfully. maybe attend Sunday School so you can ask your questions. We may even learn a thing or two from you.

NEW BELIEVER:
This means you have committed to following Jesus as your
Lord and you are faithfully attending weekly worship at EBC.
NEXT STEPS =
Commit to baptism and membership. Be intentional about training
to grow in your faith.

JESUS
FOLLOWER:
This means you are a committed member of EBC and are actively
following Jesus in your daily life. You've decided to follow Jesus'
example by committing to a small group community and by serving
regularly.

LEADER:
You are fully committed to being a servant-leader and reproducing
other Christ-followers.
NEXT STEPS= Leadership Development. Serve as a ministry leader. The Mathetes (Theological Training) classes may be an option for you.
